Mark Gravel
Vice President

I can’t think of a greater place to live than Northern BC. Great people, diverse culture and all the outdoor fun right in our back yard.

My family and I love to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, skiing, boating, road cycling and of course mountain biking.

Northern BC offers a wealth of mountain biking networks for all & I look forward to contributing to its further growth in Kitimat.

Mathias Tait
Membership Coordinator

Born and raised in Kitimat, Mathias has been biking since before grade school.  He currently rides a Commencal hard tail and enjoys both technical and flow trails, preferably ones with gravity assist.

Mathias is a Civil Engineer by trade with a keen interest in city planning which he knows will help MECA develop a vast Kitimat trail network, one that complements its already vast urban pathway system.

Jamie Theriault

ridden bikes for many years, and has  been
known to have a bike or two (or seven) in his garage.

Jamie's is looking forward to seeing MECA develop and having riding opportunities more accessible to the community.

Dan Chimko
Secretary

I was born and raised in Kitimat and spent a          lot of time on a bike growing up.  Living in cablecar, we used our bikes to get everywhere and there were always plenty of ditches to ride through and homemade jumps were everywhere. Although, I didn't ride much as a young adult I have returned to biking as way to spend quality time with my wife and growing children. I am looking forward to helping develop the future of bike riding in Kitimat for the benefit of our community and those who visit it.

In 2019 she finally took the plunge and got herself a Giant Trance and has been having fun hitting the trails with the dogs and learning new skills ever since!
